By accessing or using Driver-Prep.com you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Description of service

Driver-Prep.com provides independent, original study materials and educational adaptations designed to help users prepare for driving knowledge tests. Our materials are original educational works based on publicly available laws and traffic rules. We are a private educational service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, approved by or certified by any state Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or any government agency. Use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The product consists of practice tests (400 questions, each with an explanation, and the sign trainer) and printable guides for the plans that include them. It does not include a handbook: the official NC Driver Handbook from NCDOT is free and available at ncdot.gov (PDF).

Access to this product is separate from other Driver-Prep products: buying one does not give you access to another.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase access and enter into a binding agreement. You need an account to use the paid content: you can create one before you pay, or one is created automatically with the email address from your payment if you buy as a guest. You are responsible for keeping your account login details confidential, for all activity under your account, and for providing a valid email address.

3. Payments

Access to the study materials requires a one-time payment, starting at $9.00 USD per state. We offer several plans that differ in access length and extras (for example, printable guides); the price and details of each plan are shown before you pay. Each plan is a single one-time charge: there is no subscription, no automatic renewal and no recurring billing. Buying the Family plan includes one extra seat for a family member, activated with a single-use invitation link from your account. The second seat must be activated within 30 days of purchase; after that it expires. Payments are processed securely through Stripe (card, Apple Pay or Google Pay) and PayPal. All prices are in US dollars.

Referral bonus: when a friend buys any plan with your personal link, they get +15 days of access on top of their plan and you get +30 days, up to a maximum of 10 bonuses per account. Bonus days have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for a refund or a payment. Only one bonus applies per new buyer. We may cancel bonuses earned through abuse of the program or tied to a refunded purchase.

4. Refunds and money-back guarantee

We offer a money-back guarantee on all plans. Money-back guarantee: if you studied with the materials, took the DMV knowledge test within 30 days of your payment and did not pass on your first try, we refund your payment.

To request it, write to support@driver-prep.com using the same name and email address you used for the purchase, and attach a photo or screenshot of the official result of your DMV knowledge test (showing the date and the not-passed mark). You can cover everything else on the document: we only need the date and the result line. After we verify it, we will refund the full payment within 5 business days. Refund requests must be sent within 30 days of your payment date or within 7 days after the end of that period.

On the Family plan the guarantee applies per person: each of the two accounts on the plan that meets the conditions above and has not passed the test is refunded $14.50, half of the $29.00 payment. If both accounts meet the conditions, the full $29.00 is refunded.

Outside this guarantee, sales of digital products are final. If a technical problem prevents you from accessing the content you bought, write to support@driver-prep.com and we will make reasonable efforts to restore your access or, if that is not possible, give you a refund.

5. License to use the content

With your purchase you receive personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive access to the study materials for the access period of the plan you bought, for your own personal, non-commercial educational use. You may not:

• Share, resell or redistribute the content
• Copy or reproduce the materials for commercial purposes
• Share your account login details with other people

6. Disclaimer

Our study materials are provided for educational purposes only and should be used as a supplementary study resource. Always check your state’s DMV website and its official materials for the most current and accurate official information.

7. Intellectual property

The design, structure and original explanatory content of Driver-Prep.com, including the educational format and adaptations, belong to Driver-Prep.com. Factual information about traffic signs or state laws is in the public domain. You pay for our own explanations, our educational structure and our platform, not for public government data.

8. Limitation of liability

Driver-Prep.com will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the service.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Driver-Prep operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or to use of the service will be resolved in the courts located in that state, and you and Driver-Prep submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing any claim, you agree to write to us first at support@driver-prep.com so that we can try to resolve the matter informally.

10. Changes to the terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be shown by updating the last-updated date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after changes means you accept the new terms.
